Adam Worrall is a PhD graduate of and adjunct professor at the Florida State University School of Information (Florida’s iSchool). His research takes a social informatics perspective on the relationships between communities, information and communication technologies (ICTs), and the information behavior of their users, with a focus on online communities. He is also interested in digital libraries, scientific collaboration, social media, and social and community theories in information science. His particular interest is in the boundaries that may exist between communities online and offline, and the roles that boundary-spanning individuals and ICTs play in supporting information and knowledge sharing in such sociotechnical contexts.
